Can I rent a car with a foreign driving licence?

Yes. Licences printed in the Latin alphabet (EU, UK, US and most others) are accepted as they are. If your licence uses another script, bring an international driving permit alongside it.

Do I need an international driving permit in Turkey?

Only if your licence is not in Latin script. In that case an IDP together with your national licence is what traffic police expect at a check, and it is what we recommend for a stress-free rental.

How does the vehicle handover work?

We bring the vehicle to your address at the agreed time. Together we walk around it, note the existing condition, fuel level and kilometres on the form, you show your licence and passport, sign, and take the keys. The whole thing takes about ten minutes.

What happens if I get a traffic fine?

Fines issued during your rental period are the renter's responsibility under the agreement. Speed cameras are common on the D-400, so watch the limits. If a fine reaches us, we inform you and share the official details transparently.

What should I photograph at handover?

All four corners of the vehicle, the wheels and rims, the windscreen, any scratch already noted on the form, plus the dashboard showing fuel level and kilometres. Thirty seconds of video does the same job.

Is fuel included in the rental price?

No. Fuel is the one running cost that stays yours. You receive the vehicle with a documented fuel level and return it the same way; there is no prepaid-fuel trick in our conditions.

What Documents You Need

Two documents cover almost every rental: your passport and a valid driving licence. If your licence uses the Latin alphabet (as EU, UK, US and most European licences do), it is accepted as it is. Driver Age and Experience

Minimum age and how long you must have held your licence depend on the vehicle class; requirements for an economy car, an SUV and a UTV are not the same. The exact conditions for the vehicle you choose are always shown before you confirm, so there are no surprises at handover.

If you are a young or recently licensed driver, say so when you ask for a quote. We would rather match you with a vehicle you can definitely take than cancel a booking at the door.

Driving in Alanya and Turkey

Turkey drives on the right, and the rules will feel familiar to any European driver. Speed limits, unless signs say otherwise, are 50 km/h in town, 90 km/h on intercity roads and 120 km/h on motorways. Seatbelts are mandatory for everyone; on scooters, motorcycles and ATVs a helmet, glasses and gloves are legally required. We provide the gear with every rental. The legal blood-alcohol limit for private drivers is 0.50 promille, but with a rental vehicle the only sensible number is zero.

Traffic police checkpoints are routine on the coast road, especially in season: a calm, normal procedure. Keep your licence, passport and the rental contract in the vehicle and the stop takes a minute. Child seats are legally required for small children; ask us to fit one before delivery.

Fuel, Tolls and Parking

Our fuel policy is the simplest one: return the vehicle with the same fuel level you received it with. The level is noted on the handover form. Fuel stations are plentiful along the coast, so topping up before return is never a problem.

The D-400 coastal road (the one you will use for almost everything between Mahmutlar and Gazipaşa) is toll-free. Motorways in Turkey use the electronic HGS toll system instead of cash booths; if you plan a longer trip on motorways, mention it to us in advance. Parking in Alanya center is mostly paid street or lot parking, while residential areas like Mahmutlar and Kargıcak are largely free.

Insurance and the Handover Check

For cars and SUVs, insurance options and exactly what they cover are explained before you book: you choose the level of coverage with the conditions in writing, not at the last minute beside the car. Two-wheelers and terrain vehicles follow different rules: coverage there is limited or absent, and we spell that out before you confirm.

At handover we walk around the vehicle together and note any existing scratches or marks on the form. Take your own photos or a short video at the same time; it takes two minutes and protects both sides. The fuel level and kilometres are written down before you sign, and you keep a copy of everything.
